| CMA-FEST 2013
DURANGO STAGEThere are stages set up all over downtown Nashville during CMA-Fest, so no matter where you go you are likely to have the opportunity to catch a show.
Con was proud to once again be among the artists invited to perform at the Durango Music Spot stage inside the new Music City Center. This stage offers top notch entertainment each day of the Festival, and the shows are free with your paid admission to Fan Fair X. |
| There is a large crowd on hand for today's shows. There are about 325 seats, but, as you can see, folks don't mind standing for the chance to see and hear these music greats! Country Music legend Lynn Anderson has just
performed a terrific set of her classic hits, and Con will be up soon. |
| Host Bill Cody introduces
his buddy Con to the crowd. |
| Con's happy to be here! |
| It's a 30-minute set, and Con kicks off with a couple of his signature favorites, No Relief In Sight and What's New With You. |
| Then a little fun with She Ain't You! |
| There's enough time for a couple more songs. Con took special time out in his set to pay tribute to a man he calls "the greatest country singer of all time", George Jones. Con recalls fondly of doing shows with George back in the '80s and '90s. However, one of Con's favorite mo-ments came when he was in the audience at a George Jones concert a few years back, just there as a genuine fan of The Possum. While sitting there enjoying the show, George took Con by surprise by calling him up on stage with him, and the two of them sang a duet of George's classic hit, "She Thinks I Still Care". That moment will always be a cherished memory for Con. Today at Fan Fair, Con honored George by performing the song again. |
| After the emotional performance, it's time for Con to close out his portion of today's show. He performs another heart-tugging song - one he receives a lot of requests for, Hollow Man. |
| All of the artists were wonderful today! Con had a great time singing for the fans, and the fans in turn loved every second of it! Con also enjoyed chatting and catching up with some of his artist friends. He is pictured here with
friends Lynn Anderson, T.Graham Brown, Bill Cody, Jimmy Fortune, Jim Ed Brown and Larry Gatlin. Next he'll head on over to sign autographs and greet fans at the Durango Boots booth, sponsors of the Durango Music Spot. See ya over there! |
